Katherina Star

Katherina Star is a pen name for Kamesha Sims.

A New York native with cerebral palsy hemiplegia, Kamesha began her self-publishing journey in 2019 with YA speculative fiction. She holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing and an Online Teaching Certificate, she’s dedicated to blending academia with storytelling to bring fresh perspectives to publishing.  

Beyond writing, Kamesha is an editor, social media strategist, and online brander in the making, passionate about helping fellow creatives build their voices. When she’s not crafting new worlds, she’s navigating academia, learning the ins and outs of publishing, or empowering fellow Gen Z introverts and neurodivergent creatives to embrace their stories.
